DESCRIPTION:Exhibition on Public Health Success Stories & Innovations  \n21st July 2026 \nBMICH \nGuidelines for Submissions \n\nBackground\n\nThe year 2026 marks a significant milestone: 100 years of organized community health services in Sri Lanka. To commemorate this event\, an exhibition will be organized to showcase success stories and innovations that have contributed to improving the health and wellbeing of the population. \nThis exhibition aims to highlight successful public health interventions\, encourage knowledge sharing\, and inspire future innovations across the health sector. \n\nWho Can Submit\n\nSubmissions are welcome from: \n\nNational public health programmes and institutions\nProvincial and district health teams\nMedical Officer of Health teams\nHospital teams\nUniversities and training institutions\nResearch organizations\nNon-governmental organizations (NGO)\nCommunity-based organizations (CBO)\nIndividual public health professionals\n\n\nCategories of Submissions\n\nSubmissions may fall under one or more of the following categories: \n\nSuccesses in public health programmes – Successful implementation of preventive or promotive health programmes\nInnovations in public health – New tools\, technologies\, systems\, or methods\nCommunity-based public health initiatives – Initiatives driven by community participation\nHealth systems strengthening – Improvements in how health services are delivered\, managed\, or implemented\nDigital health and information systems – Use of technology\, data systems\, or digital tools in public health\nEmergency and outbreak response – Effective responses to public health emergencies or epidemics\nIntersectoral collaboration – Initiatives involving multiple sectors improving public health outcomes\n\n\nSubmission Requirements\n\nEach submission should include the following information: \n\nTitle: A clear and concise title of the initiative.\nInstitution / Organization and contact information – Name\, designation\, institution\, email\, telephone number\n\n\nNames of team members\n\n\nBackground / Problem statement – Brief description of the public health issue addressed.\nObjective/s – Key objective/s of the initiative.\nDescription of the intervention / innovation – Provide a detailed description including the following: target population\, setting\, key activities\, implementation process\, equity considerations\n\n\nResults and impact – Describe measurable outcomes\, where available\, such as:\nImprovements in health indicators\nIncreased service coverage\nEnhanced community engagement\nProviding better services while using fewer resources\nSustainability – Explain how the initiative can be sustained over time.\n\n\nScalability / Replicability – Explain whether the initiative can be replicated or scaled up in other settings.\nLessons learned – Key lessons\, challenges faced\, and how they were addressed.\n\n  \n\nFormat of Submission\n\nSubmissions should not exceed 1\,000 words. \nOptional attachments: \n\nPhotographs\, infographics\, data tables\, short videos (if available)\n\nSubmission process: \n\nSubmit by 20 April 2026 to ccpslexhibition@gmail.com\nAcceptance notifications and further instructions will be sent by 15 May 2026.\n\n  \n\nReview and Selection Criteria\n\nSubmissions will be reviewed by a panel of public health experts based on: \n\nRelevance to Sri Lanka’s public health priorities\nAn Innovative or creative approach\nFeasibility of implementation\nResults and supporting evidence\nPotential for expansion or application in other settings\nLong-term sustainability\nCommunity involvement and participation\n\n  \n\nExhibition Format\n\nSelected submissions will be invited to present through posters\, videos\, exhibition booths\, or on-site demonstrations. \n\nFurther Information\n\nFor inquiries\, please contact: \nDr. Vindya Kumarapeli\, President – CCPSL                      \nTel No: 0718965277 (WhatsApp only) \nEmail: secretaryccpsl@gmail.com

DESCRIPTION:The College of Community Physicians of Sri Lanka (CCPSL) proudly announces the Public Health Summit and 31st Annual Academic Sessions 2026. This milestone event will celebrate a century of community health in Sri Lanka while focusing on life course actions for future wellbeing. \nCall for Abstracts: Now Open! We are currently accepting abstracts for the 2026 academic sessions. Researchers and public health professionals are invited to submit their work under two main categories: \nCategory 1: Original Research  \n\n\nOriginal research studies using primary or secondary data. \n\n\nSystematic reviews/meta-analysis. \n\n\nNote: Category 1 abstracts will be considered for special awards\, including the Dr. Ranjan De Sylva Research Award and the Dr. N.W.
