A special feature of the centenary exhibition was the ‘Happy Smiles’ programme for children with special needs and their parents.
The live activity provided children with opportunities to demonstrate and celebrate their abilities, while parents participated in discussions on positive parenting, family support and responsive caregiving.
The ‘Api Wadena Sathutu Sina’ open stall included interactive activities in art and craft, storytelling and acting, cooking, free play and other child-centred experiences. A dedicated Parents’ Experience Sharing Station enabled families to discuss challenges and practical strategies.
The programme visibly demonstrated inclusion by enabling children with different abilities to participate alongside other children with equal opportunities to engage, perform and express themselves.
