During the 2025/2026 council year, CCPSL strengthened postgraduate learning through two complementary academic platforms: the Journal Club and the Young Community Physicians’ Forum.
The Journal Club, initiated in November 2025, focused on critical appraisal, clinical epidemiology, biostatistics and evidence-based practice. Six sessions were conducted on topics ranging from parenting interventions and NCD service utilisation to digital health and large language model chatbots.
The Young Community Physicians’ Forum, started in January 2026, provided a peer-led platform for sharing overseas training experiences, postgraduate opportunities and emerging public health methods. Four forums were conducted during the council year.
Participants and presenters received continuing professional development points through collaboration with the Education, Training and Research Unit of the Ministry of Health.
