The Annual Academic Sessions of the College of Community Physicians of Sri Lanka is an event that brings together community physicians and public health professionals to present and discuss research findings, best practices and innovations in community medicine in Sri Lanka. The sessions are held once a year and are attended by a wide range of stakeholders, including researchers, practitioners, policy-makers and students.
During the Annual Academic Sessions, participants present research papers, case studies, and share their experiences and knowledge about various aspects of community medicine such as epidemiology, disease prevention, health promotion and health education, environmental health, occupational health, health systems and services, and social determinants of health.
The event provides an opportunity for community physicians to network with colleagues, share ideas, learn from each other and contribute to the advancement of community medicine in Sri Lanka. The Annual Academic Sessions also feature keynote speeches and expert panels on emerging issues and challenges in public health, which provide thought-provoking insights into the current state of community medicine in Sri Lanka.
