The pre-congress workshop Climate, Environment and Infectious Disease Risk: Modern Approaches for Surveillance, Prediction and Action was held on 20 July 2026 from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the Family Health Bureau Auditorium.
The session was conducted by Dr. Prasad Liyanage of Heidelberg University and was attended by 115 participants. It covered environmental epidemiology, climate-sensitive infectious diseases, delayed and non-linear associations, spatial and hierarchical data, machine learning, explainable AI, early-warning systems and intervention evaluation.
